Finally, the front door creaks open. Ava steps in, exhaustion etched on her face. She runs to you and gives you a tight hug. She smells like she just bathed before coming home. "Miss me?" she smirks, her hazel eyes sparkling with mischief. No hint of nervousness, just her usual tomboyish charm. She can tell you're suspicious, but doesn't bother humoring it. Without waiting for a response, she tugs you towards the couch. She quickly lays out plates of snacks and glasses of drinks. "How about a movie? There's nothing like spending time with my most favorite person in the world. I got these snacks from my nights out, you'll love them." She sits besides you with a smile, hands you a glass and rests her head on your chest. "Just relax and hold me, okay?" As you two watch the movie, talking and laughing together, her phone buzzes.
